Archived Site Updates

18 January 2008

Huge updates all around:

Another year of demo collecting is upon us. Here's the most recent site updates:

PS1 - Cool Boarders 3, Interactive CD Sampler Vol 1, Interactive CD Sampler Vol 3.5, Monster Rancher (Trade), NCAA Gamebreaker 2001, NFL Gameday '99, Pro Pinball Timeshock, PlayStation Demo Disc 1.5, PlayStation Picks Purple pages updated.

PS2 - FIFA 2005, Network Adapter 2, Syphon Filter Online Beta pages added/updated.

PSP - Kiosk 4 page added.

Big thanks to Jason Dvorak, aka Dangerboy for the latest batch of PS1 scans. The site really only needs a handful of scans to have a complete collection of scans for all US Sony demos so let's keep the momentum going. Believe it or not, the site may never be finished, as new demos are somehow just now appearing...look @ the Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage/Crash Team Racing PS1 demo and the Disgaea PS2 Trade demo that weren't even known to exist until recently. In the meantime, keep those scans/disc info s coming. Until next time...

25 November 2007

Huge updates all around:

PS1 - Gran Turismo and Grind Session pages updated.

PS2 - Arctic Thunder, Dark Cloud, Downhill Domination, Eyetoy, Guitar Hero, NCAA Gamebreaker 2004, NFL Gameday 2003, Network Adapter 1, Primal, PS Underground Holiday 2004, Ratchet & Clank and Rogue Galaxy pages updated.

PS3 - Rock Band (Trade) page added.

PSP - God of War - Chains of Olympus, Lemmings, SOCOM Tactical Strike pages added.

Along with the updates listed above, there have been other random fixed throughout the site. I've removed most of the PSP Trade demo entries as they were betas and not actual demos. The # of scans I need for the site continues to decrease. Check the forums regularly to see if you can supply the last few scans for the site. Thanks :)

1 October 2007

A few updates:

PS1 - Cool Boarders 2001, Gran Turismo, No One Can Stop Mr. Domino! (Trade) and NBA2Ball pages updated.

PS2 - Arctic Thunder page added.

PS3 - Ratchet & Clank Future - Tools of Destruction page added.

PSP - Kiosk #3 page updated.

Biggest change this time is the new site design. I used the multiple blue colors on the PS2 as a template along with a white background. I think it looks good but would like feedback as to whether everyone else agrees with me. Also, the other big news this update is the addition of the PS3 section. So far there's only 1 PS3 demo but I'm pretty sure more are on the way. In other news, OPM is being resurrected under a new publisher. No word yet if they will be releasing a monthly demo disc, but I'll keep my fingers crossed...Expect more PS1 & PS2 demo scans soon from regular contributors Jason Dvorak (aka Dangerboy) and briskbc. Thanks go out to bcks for finding multiple typos throughout the site. Until next time...

Edit: I hoped to have the PS2 detail pages finished with the new format, but my DVD-ROM broke :( As soon as I receive the replacement drive I'll get that finished. I may be getting a PSP soon, and if I do I will add the disc info to the PSP detail pages ASAP.

7 September 2007

Massive Update:

PS1 - Pro Pinball Timeshock page updated.

PS2 - ATV Offroad Fury 4, Fight Night Round 3, Freaky Flyers, Kiosk 2.23, Metal Saga (Trade), NBA Shootout 2004 and OPM 88 pages updated.

PSP - Dead Head Fred, Jeanne D'Arc and Puzzle Quest (Trade) pages updated.

The PS2 section has been redone up to the letter 'I' and I hope to finish that soon. Expecting some new PS1 demo info from Jason Dvorak soon, and have a Dance Factory (Trade) & Guitar Hero demo enroute. Big props to briskbc for new scans and help with various typos throughout the site. briskbc has also come through recently w/ scans of various rare demos. Check the links section to find a link to his new demo collecting blog. Keep 'em coming and stay tuned :)

8 July 2007

It's been awhile, but here's the latest:

PS2 - Hot Shots Tennis, Network Adapter Beta, Odin Sphere (Trade), Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror, and Twisted Metal Black Online Beta pages updated.

PSP - Puzzle Quest and Syphon Filter - Logan's Shadow pages updated.

The PS1 section has been updated with the new detail page format. The PS2 section is next, and will look pretty much the same [instead of having a tracks field, there will be a disc format field.] When I finally get around to getting a PSP I'll update that section also. As always, check the forums to see if you can supply any of the missing info/scans that I need. Until next time...

18 April 2007

Just a few quick updates:

PS2 - Dot Hack GU Volume 1, Jak and Daxter Complete Trilogy & Ratchet & Clank (EB) pages updated.

PSP - Killzone Liberation (Trade), Kiosk 1 and World Tour Soccer 06 (Trade) pages updated.

Also, I will be adding each demo's Internal Disc ID & size to each detail page. I will need the contributors to this site to provide the info on the demos I don't personally own. There's a forum thread that has been created exclusively for this, so post the info if you have it available :) Go here to get an idea of what the new format for the detail pages will look like.

5 March 2007

Just a few quick updates:

PS1 - Developer's Demo CD, Interactive CD Sampler Volume 7, Interactive CD Sampler Volume 9 pages updated.

2 February 2007

Jason Dvorak has come through again with a big set of PS1 scans, and I also got some unexpected help from Dennis Wyman from the VG Resource Center on some previously unknown PS2 trade demos. Make sure to check his out his site! Big thanks to Fiber for locating him :) Also, check the forums to see if you have any of the remaining scans needed for the site. I have been able to eliminate a few each day and we are getting close to having a scan for every known US PS1/PS2/PSP demo :) This may be the last big update for awhile, as I have been extremely lucky in coming across the info I have lately and finding info on some of the rarer demos seems to be the exception more than the rule...

PS1 - Crash Team Racing, Destruction Derby Raw, Driver, ECW Hardcore Revolution (Trade), Holiday '97, Intelligent Qube, Star Wars - Demolition and Star Wars Episode 1 - Phantom Menance (Trade) pages updated.

PS2 - Jampack 15 (Teen), Metal Saga (Trade), Rogue Galaxy, Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Summoner (Trade), Shin Megami Tensei - Digital Devil Saga 2 (Trade), Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus and Steambot Chronicles (Trade) pages added/updated.

PSP - Monster Kingdom - Jewel Summoner (Trade) page added.

30 January 2007

Wow, three updates in a week? Thanks to gangrelx, many missing scans have been obtained. With more on the way from both rangar and dangerboy, there may very well be another update over the weekend. Also, take a moment to look @ the new logo for the site, courtesty of fiber :)

PS1 - Best of PlayStation Underground, Rugrats - Search for Reptar (Trade), Silent Hill (Trade), Twisted Metal III Toys R' Us Test Drive, & Ultimate Fighting Championship (Trade) pages updated.

PS2 - Rule of Rose (Trade) page updated.

PSP - Kiosk #1, Kiosk #2, Kiosk #3 & NBA 07 paged updated.

28 January 2007

The site redesign is pretty much finished. Nearly every page is now done in CSS which should allow for easy large scale editing in the future. Cuurently, theres still work to be done on the Search page, but expect to hear more about that in the future. In the meantime, feel free to contact me with any suggestions/comments about the new look. Thanks :)

23 January 2007

Even though there aren't many demos being released these days, I have been getting info on quite a few older ones, especially in the PS1 section. Also, look for the site design to be finished soon, courtesy of Fiber :)

PS1 - Codemasters, Gauntlet Legends (Trade), Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee, PlayStation Demo Disc Spring 2000, Spyro - Year of the Dragon (Individual), Twisted Metal 3: Toys R Us Test Drive, Twisted Metal 4, Ultimate Fighting Championship (Trade) pages added/updated.

PS2 - Rule of Rose (Trade) page added.

PSP - NBA 07 page added.

4 January 2007

It's the end of an era...OPM has been cancelled. With the PS2 on it's way out, and the PSP & PS3 focusing on online downloadable demos, don't expect to see too many new demo discs in the future :( Anyways, here's an update, and expect info on some rare PS1 demos soon...I've also updated the forums with my most recent trade list.

PS1 - Hot Shots Gold page updated.

PS2 - Flushed Away, Guitar Hero II, Jampack 15 (Mature), Jampack 15 (Teen), Kiosk 2.23, OPM 110, OPM 111, OPM 112, Rogue Galaxy pages updated.

PSP - Ratchet & Clank Size Matters Online Public Beta & Ratchet & Clank Size Matters (Regular) pages updated.

1 November 2006

OK I lied, here's another quick update...

PS2 - FIFA 07, Need for Speed Carbon, OPM 110, SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs - Combined Assault pages updated.

PSP - Killzone Liberation page updated.

15 October 2006

Last big update before the holidays...

PS2 - Destroy All Humans! 2, Dual Hearts (Trade), FIFA 07, Need for Speed Carbon, OPM 108, OPM 109, OPM 110, SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs - Combined Assault pages added/updated.

PSP - ATV Offroad Fury Pro, Gangs of London, Killzone Liberation, Ratchet & Clank - Size Matters Public Beta, SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs - Fireteam Bravo 2 pages added/updated.

10 September 2006

A few updates, plus the site redesign has begun :O

PS2 - ATV Offroad Fury 4, Burnout (Trade), Kiosk Q2-Q3 2006, NBA 07 Featuring the Life Vol 2, and Yakuza pages updated.

PSP - Loco Roco page updated.

As you can see, the site redesign has begun, thanks to Fiber. The site will now be CSS-based, which will allow me to easily change the look of the entire site by editing only a single file. Feel free to suggest colors for the various pages as both of us are artistically handicapped. Until next time...

5 August 2006

Last big update (for now)...

PS1 - PlayStation Demo Disc 1.5 & Resident Evil 2 (Trade) pages updated.

PS2 - FIFA World Cup Germany 2006, Gran Turismo 4 Online Public Beta, Hitman - Blood Money/Urban Chaos, OPM 106, OPM 107 and Test Drive - Unlimited Public Beta 1.0 pages updated.

This update will probably be the last big update for awhile, as there is not too many demos being released in the near future, and finding the demos I'm missing is getting harder and harder to do. Fiber has been doing excellent work on the site redesign and I hope to unveil it soon :)

23 July 2006

A relatively big update!

PS1 - Duke Nukem - Time to Kill (Regular) page updated.

PS2 - 25 to Life Public Beta Volume 1.0, Ape Escape 3, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec Nissan 350Z Edition, and Shin Megami Tensei - Digital Devil Saga (Trade) pages added and/or updated. Also new entries for FIFA World Cup Germany 2006, Gran Turismo 4 Online Beta, Hitman - Blood Money/Urban Chaos, Kiosk Demo Disc Q4 2005-Q1 2006, Kiosk Demo Disc Q1-Q2 2006, OPM 106 and OPM 107.

PSP - PSP System Kiosk Disc #1, Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror Public Beta Volume 1 and World Tour Soccer 06 pages updated.

I've got FIFA World Cup Germany 2006, Gran Turismo 4 Online Beta, Hitman - Blood Money/Urban Chaos [all PS2] on the way. Stay tuned for more as it comes :)

18 June 2006

A few updates:

PS1 - Metal Gear Solid (Trade) page updated.

PS2 - Klonoa 2 (Trade), Magna Carta (Trade), OPM 105, SkyGunner (Trade) pages updated.

I have 25 to Life Public Beta Volume 1.0 [PS2], Ape Escape 3 [PS2], and World Tour Soccer 06 [PSP] enroute to me, so expect updates on those pages soon. Also, I've sent out IM's/e-mails to all members of the demo community [which, excluding me, consists of Dangerboy, Fiber, Nogib, & Ragnar] as you all have @ least 1 demo I do not and I need the disc size/internal Disc ID from them to further complete my excel spreadsheets. Thanks in advance to the 4 of you :O

27 May 2006

MASSIVE UPDATE! I have recently graduated from college and while I was finishing up the site received no updates, but here we go (organized by system):

PSP - Lemmings, PSP System Kiosk Disc #1 pages added.

PS1 - 3 Xtreme, Gran Turismo 2 Bonus PlayStation Disc, Psygnosis '98, Rollcage, X360 pages added/updated.

PS2 - Jampack 14 (Mature), Jampack 14 (Teen), Magna Carta (Trade), NCAA March Madness 06, OPM 103, OPM 104, SkyGunner (Trade), State of Emergency 2 (Trade), Star Wars Battlefront II Public Beta, Steambot Chronicles, TOCA Race Driver 3 pages added/updated.

There's a bit of site news this month also. Believe it or not, this site was referenced in The Guide to the Sony PlayStation, a PS1 guide co-produced by Digital Press (check that out here). Fiber is busy finishing up his current semester at school, all the while working on a site redesign, which he hopes to finish soon. Last but not least, check out Dangerboy's PS1 OPM covers at Game-Rave. They are extremely high quality and make your PS1 OPM demos look very nice. Till next time...

16 March 2006

Added pics & details for Driver - Parallel Lines, Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 100, Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 101, and Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 102 (PS2).

7 March 2006

Added an entry for Everquest Online Adventures Beta Volume 1.0 (PS2) , added pics & details for Pursuit Force & SOCOM Fireteam Bravo (Regular) (PSP), along w/ pics & details for MLB 06 - The Show and Sonic Riders (PS2).

25 February 2006

Added an entry for Sonic Riders (PS2) , added pics of Whiplash (PS2) and pics for most of the PSP demos. Enjoy :)

17 February 2006

Added an entry and info for the PlayStation Demo Disc 1.4 (PS1) , and added a new entry for Driver - Parallel Lines (PS2). I got a new DVD-RW drive, and as such, I was able to read the remaining disc info I need and fill in the blank spots on the PS2 list...I've added a list of the demos I need on each system's page...If you can get me any of these demos that I need, I would appreciate it :O

14 February 2006

Added an entry and info for the Slim Jim demo (PS1) , and added new entries on the lists for Fight Night Round 3, MLB 2006 - The Show, NCAA March Madness 06 (PS2) and Daxter (PSP). Also, on the PS1 & PS2 pages, there are now Excel pages where info on each disc itself is stored (disc id, disc size, etc.) For the time being, I'm not exactly sure how to pull this kind of info off of PSP UMD discs, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually...For some strange reason, the DVD-ROM in my PC has problems reading a lot of the PS2 DVD Demos, especially 1st Party Sony (including all the OPM's) and 3rd Party EA Demos...if you can fill in any of the blank spots on the Disc ID Excel sheets, let me know :)

3 February 2006

Added additional info to the Best Buy, Gran Turismo, and Pepsi demo pages (all PS1) , and added new entries on the PS2 list for TOCA Race Car Driver 3 and new entries for Ape Escape Academy, Pursuit Force, and the regular version of SOCOM - Fireteam Bravo (all PSP). As you can tell, PSP demo releases are on the rise...On a side note, this site is now linked to www.game-rave.com which is run by Jason/dangerboy, who is a frequent contributor to this site. Visit his site for all the PS1 info you can handle :)

31 January 2006

Added additional info to the Black (PS2) page, and added new entries on the PS2 list for Guitar Hero and State of Emergency 2 (Trade), along w/ new listings on the PSP list for both the regular and beta versions of Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror...apparently, PSP demos are now going to become much more common, so keep your eyes peeled :O

23 January 2006

Added additional info to the Galerians (PS1), Combat Elite - WWII Paratroopers (PS2), NBA 06 (PS2), NBA Live 06 (PS2) and OPM 100 (PS2) pages, and added new entries on the PS2 list for Black, OPM 101 and Warhammer 40,000 - Fire Warrior, with more info soon to follow...on a sad note, I lost an auction recently for both the Sears Funtronics Gran Turismo (PS1) and Pepsi (PS1) demos, but since the guy who runs Gamerave won them, I should still be able to get pics/info :)

6 January 2006

The PS2 detail pages are all done!!! The site is finished, and it only took 14 months :P Since the Ps1 demo scene is dead, the PS2 demo scene is near death, and the PSP demo scene died before it even started, there will only be periodic updates from here on out as I collect the last few PS1/PS2 demos I don't already have (only 40 PS1 & 29 PS2 to go!) I'm speculating that there won't be too many PS3 demos to start with either due to the high cost of the Blu-Ray media, but we'll see. As always, post on the forums if you have any demos or pics/info on demos that I'm missing. See ya!

30 November 2005

The detail pages in the PS2 section through 'F' have been finished. There was a huge influx of PS2 demo's over the past few months that has caused me to fall way behind. The PS2 demo scene is starting to die down now, so I hope to finish the PS2 section soon. As always, check the forums for demos that I have for trade and those I still need :)

29 September 2005

Although it has taken me longer than I thought it would, work on the PS2 detail pages has begun (I currently have 'A'-'C' done.) Also, until I get some scans that I need, the PS1 section is about 99.9% finished now. The PSP section is up & complete (pay no mind that there's only 2 US PSP demos ATM lol.) Anyways, check the forums to see if you have any demos I need...then you either need to sell them to me, or @ least provide scans for the site...I hope to have the PS2 detail pages finished before the end October, so keep your fingers crossed...

30 August 2005

The PS2 scans are done @ last!!! They took way too long and I never want to scan that many things ever again in my lifetime...anyways, work has begun on the PS2 detail pages and it shouldn't be too long until they are all up. I also added a PSP section for the inevitable PSP demos that will start popping up sooner than later. I ask that everyone check the PS1 section to see if they can supply any missing pics (and the same w/ the ps2 section once the detail pages are up) and if you can upload these pics to the forums in the appropriate section, it would be much appreciated :)

25 June 2005

MAJOR UPDATES!!!! The PS1 section is as complete as it can be @ this current time. A search page has been implemented, this should make it much easier to cross-reference games when they have multiple demos spread out on multiple discs. My new scanner has arrived, and expect to start seeing the ps2 detail pages go up as the month goes on. Last but not least, we have our 1st official site logo, thanks to Fiber :)

24 May 2005

Due to technical difficulties (more specifically, my scanner broke), work has been halted on the site, which is a shame since I was hoping to finish the PS2 detail pages soon. I hope to get a new scanner soon and have this finished by the end of the summer. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a new PSP section soon :)

12 March 2005

Do my eyes decive me...The ps1 list is finished, detail pages and all...You will not find a more complete collection of info on PS1 US demos anywhere now :) Work will start on the PS2 section soon...

4 March 2005

Yes, welcome to the new home of the best PlayStation demo site in the world :P Look for many updates soon...I may even finish the detail pages soon....

8 December 2004

No, I haven't disappeared...As a matter of fact, the PS1 demo pages are finished through the letter 'O', including all of the OPM demos.

13 October 2004

Finished the ps1 'K'-'M' demos, and I am dreading all of the OPM discs that will be done soon...:(

11 October 2004

Finished the ps1 'H'-'J' demos, including all of the Interactive Sampler CD's and the Jampacks, cleaned up the ps2 list also.

28 September 2004

Finished the ps1 'C'-'G' demos...hope to have it finished by mid-October

24 September 2004

Finished the ps1 'A'-'B' detail pages, added thumbnails to relieve bandwith stress

22 September 2004

Added a basic site forum, check it out by clicking the link on the sidebar to your left :O

20 September 2004

Changed the ps1/ps2 demo lists into tables instead of the original text lists I had before, as this will allow me to easily add in the detail page links at a later date

14 September 2004

Added a sample detailed page to give everyone an idea of where I plan on going with the site.

Click on the link below to see an example...
Detail Page

12 September 2004

Site is online, detailed individual demo info (pics, release dates, etc.) is coming soon...
